Life does shift. No refunds are issued after the date of your cohort's first live session.

If circumstances change after that, cohort transfers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and a restart fee of up to $400 may be imposed at the discretion of the Montessori Care Partner Collaborative.

This is one of the most common questions.

Case studies can be conducted in long-term care, adult day, or home settings.

If a setting has not been identified at registration, Module 1 is designed to support that process.

If a setting has not been secured by Module 3, reaching out directly is encouraged. This is worked through together on a case-by-case basis.

The credential is not the only reason to complete this course. But it is worth naming what it represents: six months of practice in a care setting, two complete case studies, and an AMI trainer's review of what was submitted.

Whether it is used for professional development credits, for the AMI certification pathway, or simply to mark what was genuinely learned and practiced, it reflects something real.

You will retain access to the Self-Study Course materials for 12 months from the date of purchase.

The AMI certificate is earned by completing and submitting all course requirements during this cohort.

Your full schedule of assignment due dates and live sessions lives inside the course and the community.

All assignments are due by January 8, 2027.

Work submitted after that date may not be counted toward certification for this cohort.

The Cohort closes January 30, 2027

Over six months, practitioners submit a Montessori Classroom Observation Form, a completed Engagement Plan, a 10-page Memory Book, and a video of a Montessori activity presentation from invitation through cleanup. Two case studies and a final quiz are also required.

Everything is submitted inside the course portal and reviewed by the course trainer.

This is a real body of work. And that is exactly what the credential reflects.

Most weeks, plan for four to six hours.

Weeks involving case study work or presentation preparation will require more.

Total estimated time over six months is approximately 120 to 150 hours, including self-study, reading, assignments, and live sessions.

This is a genuine commitment. It is also structured to be sustainable alongside an active role in care.

The certificate issued upon completion is an AMI-recognized credential accepted for professional development credits in many care settings.

The certificate is issued as a digital PDF through AMI and the affiliated training host.

Yes. Four texts are required, budgeted at approximately $100.

Most practitioners who completed the Orientation will already own the primary text, Montessori for Elder and Dementia Care, Second Edition by Brush and Jarrell.

Texts are available through Health Professions Press and other retailers.

Each cohort requires a minimum of 10 students to run.

If that minimum is not reached, enrolled students will receive a personal email with three options: transfer to the other cohort, defer to the January 2027 cohort, or receive a full refund.

The student chooses. MCPC handles the rest.
